Travel Trailer Rental Agreement
A deposit of $500.00 is
required at time of reservation. This deposit serves as the booking deposit and
becomes the damage deposit at time of rental.
A $25.00 cancellation fee will be retained from deposit if booking is
cancelled and alternate booking is secured.
The deposit is non-refundable for cancelled bookings in the months of
July and August unless full rental payment has been made. Full payment for
rental, including taxes, and miscellaneous charges are required 4 weeks prior
to rental. Rates do not include 5% GST
& 7% PST. Rental fees are
non-refundable, once charged.
The deposit is refunded when the trailer
and equipment is returned clean, undamaged, and complete with all
accessories. Refunded deposits may take
up to 7 business days after return of the trailer to allow for an proper post
trip inspection of the unit and for credit card companies to process.
If damage is found
after return of unit and before the following rental, Bella Vista Helicopters
Ltd./Bella Vista RV Rentals reserves the right to bill for damages. A $75.00 fee will be charged for damages
requiring 3rd party repair.
Rental charges are
based on the number of nights the trailer is used. Each night constitutes a day of charge
regardless of the time the trailer was picked up. Trailer delivery/self tow
pick up is between 2 and
A preparation fee
of $20 per week will be charged for propane, chemical use etc.Excess propane
use (ie heavy furnace use during cold months) will be charged accordingly. Upon
return/pick up of the trailer the holding tanks must be emptied and rinsed. The
trailer exterior washed if noticeably dirty (self towed trailers only). The
interior vacuumed and completely cleaned. Failure to empty tanks will result in a $50.00
charge. Failure to clean the trailer and/or
accessories/equipment will result in a $75.00 charge and if excessively dirty
the cost of a professional cleaning company.
Lessee
expressly agrees to indemnify and hold harmless of, from, and against any and
all loss, costs, damages, attorneys fees and/or liability in connection with
the enforcing of this contract by lessor, including expenses incurred in
collecting or attempting to collect delinquent rent, and in the event suit is
instituted by lessor to recover possession of said trailer and/or to enforce any
of the terms, conditions, and/or fees of lessor incurred in connection
therewith. The lessee agrees that the lessor may enter upon the lessee's
premises for the purpose of recovering possession of the said trailer and no
action shall be maintained for tresspass or otherwise.
Lessee
acknowledges his/her responsibility and will hold the lessor harmless from any
and all fines, forfeitures and penalties arising out of any violation of
law:that the lessor shall not be held liable for damages, inconvenience, or
time lost caused by accident breakdown or malfunction of the trailer. The
lessor is not responsibile for damage or loss occuring to any of the lessee's
personal property while in, or on the rented trailer. Lessee further agrees to
indemnify and hold harmless the lessor from, and against any and all claims for
loss of, or damage to property or injury to persons, including death, resulting
through the use, operation, or possession of the trailer.
If the trailer
is stolen, the lessee shall notify local police immediately. And notify the
lessor and the lessee assumes the burden of firmly establishing its loss and to
return the trailer keys to the lessor.
If the trailer
is not returned upon request of the lessor, it will be considered theft and the
rental agreement will be terminated.

not allowed.
Trailers Delivered to
Campsites: Any damage occuring during rental will be
charged to the lessee. Bella Vista Helicopters/
Self Towed Trailers: All drivers must possess a valid B.C. drivers license. Only drivers signed and listed on the rental
agreement are allowed to tow the trailer.
All renters must have prior knowledge of towing, hooking and unhooking
trailers. Tow vehicles must be properly
rated for towing (check with your vehicle manufacturer). Trailers that are self towed require:
Class lV Hitch, electric brake control, proper 7 prong wiring for braking and
lighting, a
The lessee
is responsible for maintaining tire pressure.
Lessee's will be held responsible for damage due to negligence in
operation and/or normal maintenance. Clients are authorized to proceed with
necessary repairs up to $100.00 and should call the lessor for approval of any
repairs exceeding $100.00. Authorized
repairs will be reimbursed, at return of trailer, upon presentation of receipts
and any replaced parts. In the event the trailer is involved in an accident, it
is the responsibility of the lessee to return the trailer to a place designated
by the lessor. Off-road driving is prohibited. Evidence of
off-road travel (ie. damage to tires from shot rock road) will result in tire
replacement at the cost of the lessee.
Lessee
agrees not to use, or permit the use of the trailer for an unlawful purpose:
eg. to drive in a negligent manner, nor tow while under the influence of
alcohol or narcotics.
The lessee
acknowledges he/ she has carefully examined the trailer and finds it suitable
for the purpose for which it is leased. The lessee understands all operations
of the trailer. The lessee has read,
understands, and agrees to all the conditions of this contract.
